The Ambassadors Program is an exceptional opportunity designed in partnership with numerous HBCU Social Work programs. Our program offers a comprehensive and enriching experience for students pursuing their BSW or MSW degrees. With a strong emphasis on practical learning, we provide weekly supervision and assign fulfilling tasks that align with students' academic requirements.
One of our key objectives is to ensure that students gain a profound understanding of the NASW Code of Ethics, which serves as a guiding framework for the social work profession. Through real-world experiences, Ambassadors not only learn about the code but also apply it in practical scenarios, fostering a deep comprehension of ethical decision-making in social work practice.
Participating students actively engage in team meetings where they have the opportunity to learn about macro theories, fundraising strategies, program evaluation techniques, policy development, and meeting the diverse needs of our partnering nonprofit organizations. This exposure to various aspects of social work equips Ambassadors with a well-rounded skill set and prepares them to navigate the complex challenges they may encounter in their future careers.

Each One Teach One Program
At Your Convenience
The Each One Teach One Program, created by Ambassador Maya Howell, is a unique initiative led by current and former Ambassadors to support and prepare current ambassadors for their LMSW (Licensed Master Social Worker) exam. This program is specifically designed to foster a sense of camaraderie and collaboration among social work students, with a focus on helping each other succeed in their professional journeys.
The primary goal of the Each One Teach One Program is to ensure that all ambassadors are well-prepared for their upcoming LMSW exam. Graduates of MSW programs are committed to assisting their fellow colleagues in their exam preparation, drawing upon their own experiences and knowledge to provide guidance and support. By creating study groups and offering study materials, the program creates an environment that encourages learning, growth, and success.
Beyond the LMSW exam, the program also emphasizes the importance of continued education and professional development. Ambassadors are encouraged to pursue advanced degrees such as a Ph.D. or DSW (Doctorate in Social Work), as well as obtain additional licensures such as LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) and eventually LCSW-S (Licensed Clinical Social Worker Supervisor). This comprehensive approach ensures that ambassadors have the opportunity to further enhance their skills, knowledge, and career prospects in the field of social work.

It is a community of ambitious and dedicated social work students who are committed to helping each other reach their fullest potential. By fostering a culture of mutual support and collaboration, this program aims to enhance the success rates of ambassadors in passing their licensure exams and equipping them with the tools and resources needed to excel in their careers.
